The U.N.'s World Food Programme and Food and Agriculture Organisation say border and market closures, quarantines and movement restrictions, and widespread fear of Ebola have led to food scarcity, panic buying and price increases, especially in Sierra Leone and Liberia. A group of aid agencies says that thousands of people in Sierra Leone are being forced to violate Ebola quarantines to find food because deliveries are not reaching them.

Certain genes provide immunity to Ebola - could virus have been engineered to target people with specific genes?According to a new study published just days ago in the journal Science, researchers who infected a group of specially bred mice with the virus "saw a range of reactions, from zero [symptoms] to death by hemorrhagic fever,"... The scientists were studying the varied reactions to the disease, and were specifically measuring how different genes in the mice altered the course of the viral infection. In doing so, researchers were able to determine which genes in humans are more vulnerable to death by the virus

The U.S. Supreme Court appeared closely divided on Monday as it considered whether Congress overstepped its authority in passing a law designed to allow American citizens born in Jerusalem to have Israel listed as their birthplace on passports.
Congress passed the law in 2002 but the government has never enforced it.
Seeking to remain neutral on the hotly contested issue of sovereignty over a city holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians, the State Department allows passports to name Jerusalem as a place of birth, with no country name included.
The parents of a Jerusalem-born 12-year-old boy, U.S. citizen Menachem Zivotofsky, have waged a long court battle to have his passport state he was born in Israel.
At issue is the longstanding U.S. policy that the president, not Congress, has sole authority to provide American recognition of who controls Jerusalem, a city claimed both by Israelis and Palestinians.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) quietly dropped a bomb in its October Fiscal Monitor Report. Unprecedented Money Printing Injected into Economy
Real estate expert Fabian Calvo says forget about the Fed’s recent announcement that it was ending its QE, or money printing program. Calvo contends, “Anyone who thinks the Fed is not somehow fueling the money printing through currency swaps taking place in Japan or in Europe right now is just fooling themselves.  This economy has not gotten any better. The only thing that’s changed is the unprecedented scale of the money printing that is being injected into the economy.”   …“I think when the next crash happens, it’s not just going to be the stock market or the bond market that’s going to be on the line. It’s literally going to be the world reserve currency on the line.

US officials have insisted progress was made during some nine months of intense shuttle diplomacy, but have resisted calls to formulate Washington’s own peace plan as a means of bringing the two sides back to the negotiating table. “It’s up to the parties to take steps,” Psaki said.

US officials have insisted progress was made during some nine months of intense shuttle diplomacy, but have resisted calls to formulate Washington’s own peace plan as a means of bringing the two sides back to the negotiating table. “It’s up to the parties to take steps,” Psaki said.

The International Monetary Fund Lays The Groundwork For Global Wealth Confiscation
International Monetary Fund (IMF) quietly dropped a bomb in its October Fiscal Monitor Report. Titled “Taxing Times,” the report paints a dire picture for advanced economies with high debts that fail to aggressively “mobilize domestic revenue.” It goes on to build a case for drastic measures and recommends a series of escalating income and consumption tax increases culminating in the direct confiscation of assets.
